Sarfaraz Khan Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan is an Indian cricketer who was born on October 27, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm off-break bowler. Sarfaraz Khan made his debut in domestic cricket in 2014, representing Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. Sarfaraz first gained attention when he scored a record-breaking 439 runs in the Harris Shield tournament, a school-level cricket competition in Mumbai, in 2009. His performances in age-group cricket earned him a spot in the Indian Under-19 team, with whom he played in the 2014 ICC Under-19 World Cup. He made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2015, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise. In that season, he became the youngest player to score a half-century in the IPL at the age of 17.
